There will be an opportunity to apply coaching skills throughout the course with practical placement opportunities available in the first and second year and the Professional Learning Through Work module in the third year.
There is also the option in your final year to work with experts from business to develop a viable business plan which is attractive to those wishing to develop a coaching business after graduation.
Many modules will employ practical workshops to provide a hands-on experience of a range of coaching practices using the University’s facilities, including the Sports Laboratory, the Strength and Conditioning Suite, the Sports Hall and Gymnasium, and the 3G Astroturf pitch. You will also be encouraged and supported to complete nationally recognised coaching qualifications in a variety of sports.
