My name is Rachael McDonald and I'm the Programme Leader for BSc (Hons) Exercise, Health and Fitness.
I have a background in exercise sciences, and in particular, how exercise can be used to improve health and cognition.
I am a REPS accredited Personal Trainer and also involved in research looking at how exercise can be used to improve memory and information processing.
I teach core and options modules throughout the degree course.

The BSc (Hons) Exercise, Health and Fitness course has been designed to reflect the current continual growth in the UK health and fitness industry; fitness membership in the UK has risen by 4.5% (State of the UK Fitness Industry Report, 2014).
This is an exciting new course which allows students to explore and develop a theoretical understanding of exercise, health and fitness, as well as acquire fitness qualifications which are essential in the industry, at no extra cost.
