This work-based learning Level 6 top up degree is designed to be undertaken on completion of a foundation degree, or other Level 5 qualification, in an area related to the support of children, young people and families. This degree is an ideal preparation for a range of roles and responsibilities within the integrated, extended or children’s services.You will have the opportunity to develop subject expertise, while engaging with current debate and professional practice. You will be introduced to new concepts and higher order skills such as synthesis and critical evaluation, and you will be supported in this by a specially designed induction programme. Topic areas include evaluating debates around children’s services and the challenges of working across multiagency boundaries.

Successful completion of a foundation degree in a relevant area or equivalent Level 5 qualification. Other requirements: For the old GCSE system we require grade C or above and for the new GCSE grading system we will accept grade 4 or higher in English Language (or accepted L2 equivalent).We welcome students with a range of qualifications and we treat every application on its own merits; we value highly the experience you illustrate in your personal statement.
