- Schools and Colleges Liaison - Leeds Trinity University College has a dedicated team who are fully committed to Widening Participation, regionally and nationally. We offer a comprehensive range of services for teachers and advisers. Our activities aim to support work currently taking place encouraging those who may be considering entering Higher Education and to target groups currently under represented in Higher education through a programme of inreach and outreach activities.
- Working with Children, Young People & Families - The Centre aspires to be recognised as a centre of excellence for the study of early years, supporting children, young people and families, and education. The work is challenging, but can lead to great job satisfaction through making a difference to a young person's life. Our programmes provide the knowledge and skills to take on these roles at all levels, covering a wide range of subjects and areas that support children, young people and families.
Trainee Teachers:
- Primary Education - Primary schools are dynamic and exciting environments, where children's learning needs to be carefully planned and managed. By studying one of our Primary Education degrees, you will have the opportunity to learn and apply practical teaching skills as well as studying children's learning, development, law, behaviour and assessment theory.
- Secondary Education - The Department for Secondary Education offers PGC Courses and a MA in Education. Leeds Trinity University College also works in partnership with schools in the North of Leeds to offer school-centred initial teacher-training for graduates.
- Schools Partnership - Leeds Trinity University College has a close working relationship with over 600 schools both Primary and Secondary. We have excellent communication with our schools and have established a very good reputation over a number of years. We work primarily in partnership to effectively train the next generation of teachers.
- Community - Leeds Trinity recognises the need for ongoing community engagement. Our website will keep you informed about what is happening on campus and the excellent facilities available for use by the whole community.
