Schools Partnership
Leeds Trinity University College has a close working relationship with over 600 schools both Primary and Secondary. We have excellent communication with our schools and have established a very good reputation over a number of years.
We work primarily in partnership to effectively train the next generation of teachers. Most partnership schools are in the locality but the partnership extends to the Catholic dioceses of Hexham and Newcastle in the north and Salford in the south. We have a commitment to train teachers who want to work in Catholic schools as well as those who want to work in state schools and the independent sector.
The Primary undergraduate students have 4 school block placements over 4 years, usually in 2 contrasting school settings. Secondary PGC trainees follow school-based training in 2 schools in 1 year (total of 24 weeks)
Partnership school staff benefit from excellent Professional Development opportunities and pupils benefit from enrichment activities offered at Leeds Trinity University College.
Schools interested in working in partnership with Leeds Trinity are invited to contact Anne Trotter, Schools Partnership Manager, for further information on 0113 2837177 or e mail a.trotter@leedstrinity.ac.uk
