In summary the Academic Board:
• oversees the academic work and activities of the institution
• plays a key leadership role in strategic academic development
• safeguards academic standards
• oversees the student experience particularly in relation to learning and teaching
• advises on matters of resources needed to support the academic work of the institution
The Academic Board is chaired by the Principal & Chief Executive and comprises ex-officio and elected members from across the institution. The Academic Board has a number of sub-committees to which it delegates responsibility in the areas of quality assurance and enhancement, course approval, learning teaching and assessment, research, knowledge transfer and enterprise.
