In summary the Academic Board:
• oversees the academic work and activities of the institution• plays a key leadership role in strategic academic development • safeguards academic standards • oversees the student experience particularly in relation to learning and teaching• advises on matters of resources needed to support the academic work of the institution
The Academic Board is chaired by the Principal & Chief Executive and comprises ex-officio and elected members from across the institution. The Academic Board has a number of sub-committees to which it delegates responsibility in the areas of quality assurance and enhancement, course approval, learning teaching and assessment, research, knowledge transfer and enterprise.
