Car Sharing Scheme

Leeds City Council has set up a car sharing scheme. You may register here and see what car sharing options are available in your area:
http://www.carshareleeds.com/default.asp
From September 2009 we will be introducing an in-house Car-Sharing Initiative
This scheme is open to:
Groups of 2 students who each provide proof of car ownership and their intention to share
2 members of staff who already hold annual parking permits
Potential Benefits:
Terms and Conditions
· All participants must be vehicle drivers and use their vehicles regularly to travel to LT (in the case of staff, all participants must be annual permit holders)
· Up to 2 people may share a permit (Registrations of both vehicles must be noted)
· This gives holders the right to search for a space in the Car sharing section of the carpark providing they are car sharing on that day. Spaces will be monitored to ensure that no single occupancy vehicles park there between the prescribed hours.
· After 11.00 am spaces revert to general use so as to make best use of space.
· Permit holders abusing the system will have their permits withdrawn.
· Unauthorised vehicles parked in Car Sharing areas between the prescribed times may receive a fixed penalty notice.
