Here at Leeds Trinity we recognise and reward hard work. We are offering tuition fee waivers of £3,000 for high achieving students and scholarship awards of £6,000 for students from lower income families starting in September 2012 .
Academic Achievement Award
We are offering Academic Achievement Awards in the form of a £3,000 tuition fee reduction for high achieving students coming to us in September 2012. We know you will have worked very hard to achieve these qualifications and this award recognises your hard work and commitment.
Eligible undergraduate honours students on HEFCE funded courses (so any undergraduate honours course apart from primary education) who have achieved AAB at A level or equivalent* will receive a fee reduction of £3,000 in their first year. This means that the tuition fee charged to students who are eligible for the fee reduction will be £5,000 in 2012/13.
Students do not need to ‘apply’ to Leeds Trinity for this fee reduction – students will be advised if they are entitled to it based on their results.
National Scholarship Programme
We will offer 31 National Scholarship Awards of £6000 spread over three years for students starting in the 2012/13 academic year from low income households who meet our eligibility criteria.
Year 1 - £3000 tuition fee waiver and £1000 cash
Year 2 - £1000 Leeds Trinity card
Year 3 - £1000 Leeds Trinity card
A Leeds Trinity card can be used on campus for accommodation, in catering facilities, the learning centre and the sports centre.
These scholarships are jointly funded by the government and Leeds Trinity and are being introduced to help people from low income backgrounds who want to go to University in 2012. The government has set national eligibility criteria based on household income. Each University has designed its own scholarship scheme, so meeting the national eligibility criteria does not always mean you are entitled to a scholarship.
