Now, more than ever, relevant work experience is vital to get the job you want. That’s why all of our degrees include periods of professional work placements relevant to your studies. It means you’ll be doing a real job with a real employer – an opportunity to gain some great practical experience for your CV, make contacts, and start to plan your future career.
This helps solve the “can’t get a job without experience, can’t get experience without a job” problem and puts you in a great position when you graduate.
The development of employability skills forms a key part of all our degrees - you will learn how to identify what motivates you, research job opportunities and develop a plan to secure the role you want.
In addition to this we offer lots of extra-curricular opportunities for you to gain additional experience and skills. Do some volunteering, join our business start-up programme, or start networking at one of the employer events held on campus.
This career-focused approach works. 94% of Leeds Trinity University's graduates are in work or further study six months after graduating, according to the 2013 Destination of Leavers Survey by HESA.
Support for you
We offer plenty of support during your studies to help you prepare for getting the career you want after you graduate. Our careers and employability team can help you develop a personalised pathway so you can identify and achieve your career ambitions.
We're strongly committed to providing academic excellence for all of our students. Our teaching is delivered by highly qualified and experienced staff, many of whom have extensive professional experience outside of the University. Don't take our word for it though, the 2013 Sunday Times University Guide placed Leeds Trinity University in the top 10% of UK universities for teaching excellence.
