Musician, singer and songwriter. Formerly of the Kaiser Chiefs
I enjoyed my time at Leeds Trinity. I definitely got support from the lecturers there.
Nick Hodgson is a drummer, singer, and songwriter, formerly in the Kaiser Chiefs. He attended school locally at St Mary’s Menston before studying Geography and Media at Leeds Trinity University, following in the footsteps of his brother Tim who graduated in 1997.
Nick left Kaiser Chiefs in 2012 to concentrate on other projects, refocussing his attentions on the studio.
Nick and Tim joined us at The House of Commons in 2016 during the 50th anniversary celebrations. Both brothers featured in our Faces of Leeds Trinity exhibition masterminded by fellow alumnus Mark Dolby.
Nick’s solo debut album Tell Your Friends launched on Friday 26 January 2018. To celebrate the launch Nick will be playing several independent record stores across the UK. Nick kindly gave Leeds Trinity two tickets to his album launch gig at Headrow House in Leeds, which we ran as a competition.
Nick graduated in 1999 and was able to utilise what he learnt during his studies, as he quoted in the 2010 prospectus below:
