About Leeds Trinity University College
Leeds Trinity is a great university community in a great city.

We believe in empowering our students with the skills and knowledge that prepare them for employment and for life. We're committed to nurturing and supporting all of our students, and we’re passionate about helping them make the right choices for their future.  That's why we think it is the best place to study for a degree and why you'll love Leeds Trinity.

Our status

Leeds Trinity University College has just under 3,000 students. All our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are currently accredited by the University of Leeds.  In July 2009 Leeds Trinity was granted the power to award its own taught degrees and became a University College. This means that students starting on a postgraduate degree course from September 2010 or an undergraduate degree course from September 2011 will have their degree awarded by Leeds Trinity University College. Leeds Trinity is a Catholic University College. As an inclusive community, we seek to help all who live and work here to flourish.

Top marks for Leeds Trinity

  • We have the most satisfied Primary Education students of any Higher Education provider in the country. (TDA NQT Survey 2008)
  • We received the best possible outcome from the most recent Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Institutional Audit Report
  • We have ‘good’ Ofsted scores for all our primary teacher-training programmes
  • 93% of our students get a job or go on to further study within six months  of graduation (Destination of Leavers from Higher Education Survey 2008)

Best for jobs

There’s far more to a degree than preparing for a job, but we realise that students want to land a good job when they’ve graduated.

This is why we make sure that all our students get a head start in the job market by undertaking a professional work placement. This will enable you to improve your CV, explore your career options, and make vital industry contacts before you even graduate!

Size does matter

Because we’re not a huge, faceless organisation we’ll get to know you as an individual, not just another face in the crowd!

You’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll get to know the staff and your fellow students. Everyone who comes here tells us this makes for a very supportive environment and, we think, the best possible student experience.

Committed to Fairtrade

Leeds Trinity was awarded Fairtrade status in 2006 and we remain committed to supporting the Fairtrade campaign through our Fairtrade Policy and the sale of Fairtrade products across campus. We actively support the Fairtrade Foundation's annual Fairtrade Fortnight to raise awareness of the issues and products available.

Keen to be Green

Leeds Trinity takes it environmental responsibilities very seriously, so we were really happy when we were 'highly commended’ for our contribution to environmental issues at the prestigious Green Gown Awards.
