Masters by Research funded by British Gymnastics

This research intends to explore, for the first time, joint and body loading during elite gymnastics using wearable technology in a training context to help inform athlete wellbeing. 

The proposed study is being led by Dr Lisa Gannon and Dr Danielle Davis from Leeds Trinity University. It is supported by Catapult (the provider of the wearable technology), and finance from British Gymnastics. 

Successful applicants are expected to start their studies on October 1st 2024.

Leeds Church Institute funded Masters by Research

One full-time or part-time funded Masters by Research (MbR) opportunity to be awarded by a competitive application process. This MbR is funded by the Leeds Church Institute and includes a tuition fee waiver up to the UK/EU rate (£4,400 a year for 2024-25) and a contribution to research expenses (e.g., conference attendance, consumables, training costs etc).

Applicants should propose a project aligned to the faith-based mission and values of the Leeds Church Institute and those of Leeds Trinity University, especially in the areas of Catholic Social Teaching, ethics, and Theology.
